I purchased a waistband holster for my J-Frame somewhat recently; waited until now to write this for the purposes of repeatability. It is a low-profile holster that possesses a tight fit, while being easy to draw from. Durability doesn’t seem to be a concern either; granted it’s only been a short period of time, but I don’t expect there to be any issues because it feels solid.

I’ve get my CCW in 2012; since then I have purchased a number of IWB or pocket holsters looking for comfort, readyness and safety; I never found all three characteristics in one product. In 2017 I bought my first Mika IWB holster for a J frame and I realized that the quality, simplicity and value that Bob adds to his products and since then, every tima I have changed my carry gun, always came with a new Mika’s. As a gun owner, combat veteran, and cop this is by far my favorite IWB holster. Blows away every kydex, leather, and hybrid IWB holster I’ve ever had; and I’ve had a lot of them. I hate to say it buy I had become extremely complacent and had stopped carrying off duty due to my intense dislike for most IWB holsters out there. Problem solved, this holster is extremely comfortable, durable, and reliable. I’m sure this review comes off like a bot but the holster really is that good.

I have been using Mika’s products since 90’s. I was in local law enforcement for 12 years and a federal Special Agent for 23 years with a collateral duty as firearms instructor. I have owned hundreds of holsters of every genre. Bob Mika’s Waistband Holster is a high quality rig for anyone looking for a simple but tried and true design coupled with a belt clip the strength of fort knox. That clip has got to be the strongest belt clip I have ever seen in my over 30 years of carrying a firearm. Excellent choice and quality!
